Ayaka Shiga

Photographer
Traveling
the globe nearly nine months out of the year, Ayaka Shiga's
photographic style combines the photo essay with a subtle, gentle
view of the world, uncovering harmony and balance in an otherwise
chaotic 21st Century light-speed information society.
While many photographers attempt to "shock viewers" through tense, or unerving images, Ayaka's style prefers to engage the observer through delecate imagery of nature, layered with bold, yet subtle changes in light and composition.
In two words, Ayaka's work captures the "organic elegance" of nature, often overlooked by so many each and every day. Shiga's soothing compositions push the boundries of scenery and natural world photography, delecately leading the viewer into an almost unconscous introspective of self and nature.
